Completing this child protection refresher will contribute 3 hours of NESA Registered PD
addressing 6.2.2; 7.1.2; 7.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
Educators will learn about the indicators a child may display who is at risk of harm; processes to document concerns of risk and the NSW legislative requirements for responding to those concerns. The course also covers the updated code of ethics for Early Childhood Professionals and ensures educators are aware of organisational policies/practices around risk of harm.
Includes practice using the on-line Mandatory reporter guide. Child safety and ensuring student wellbeing is the core focus of protecting children from risk of harm. Course also complies with the Start Strong Preschool funding guidelines. Materials

Bring a device with internet access for the practical component and a mug for tea/coffee (supplied).
