Do you have an interest in sketching? Want to develop a variety of approaches in dry media? in this course you will explore a range of techniques in pencil, charcoal, pastel and ink. Your tutor, Erin, will expose you to new application strategies and tools. You will learn about markmaking, line, tone, gesture, 3D modelling and composition. You will be guided through both traditional and contemporary approaches to drawing. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced drawer, this could help you build confidence and allow you greater versatility in your art projects. Bring requirements listed on Confirmation/website. No concession.

Line drawing and building compositions, 3D modelling and tonal studies
Movement in charcoal and markmaking, feeling and mixed media surfaces
Materials
Bring lunch (tea/coffee available), 2B lead pencil, sketchbook or A3 cartridge paper and $12 for drawing pack supplied by (and payable to) tutor which includes willow charcoal, compressed charcoal pencil, white charcoal pencil, kneadable eraser, pastel, drawing applicators (various).
