This course is designed specifically for Early Childhood Education and Care workers/students who need extra help to complete the computer-based components of their work. Learn how to put together children's portfolios and slide shows with MS PowerPoint and create activities, brochures and newsletters adding pictures and photographs with MS Word. You must have basic computer skills to enrol in this course. Consecutive weeks from start date.

Agenda

Day 1 - Microsoft Powerpoint
You will create a slide show from beginning to end.
Creating a child portfolio and learning story - with setting up slides, inserting and formatting photographs and pictures, changing design of slides, animate slides and learn how to print powerpoint slides appropriately.


Day 2 - Microsoft Word
Create children activities
Tables
Brochures
Newsletters
Working with pictures and photographs

Materials

Bring lunch (tea and coffee available), pen and paper, notes supplied. A memory stick will be supplied for your use during the course which you can take home and keep after the last session.
