Make-up can be confusing. Choosing products, applying them correctly and just feeling confident wearing it, are some common issues. Whether you’re in your 20s, 40s… or 80s, this workshop will teach you about make-up products and how to use them effectively suited to your age and choice of style. Come along and learn the essential make-up skills to change or improve your look, or to prepare you for any special occasion with confidence! We will focus on a range of topics that will include: Products and their Uses, Application Tricks and Techniques, Colours in Harmony, Make-up Mistakes, Skin Care Preparation and Skin Concerns such as Blemishes, Scars and Birthmarks. Jo, your make-up tutor is professionally trained in all aspects of make-up ranging from General Application to Catwalk, Photographic, TV, Theatrical and SFX… and as a special bonus, Jo will design an exclusive one-on-one make-up plan with each participant focusing on enhancing your individual beauty and style. Materials
Bring lunch - (tea and coffee available)
WORKSHOP NEEDS:
Products:
* liquid foundation (closest to your natural skin tone)
* concealer stick (a shade lighter than your natural skin tone or same as)
* powder compact (closest to your natural skin tone)
* make-up sponges (latex triangles to apply foundation)
* a black eye liner pencil
* a brown eye liner pencil
* a nude shade lip pencil (i.e. pinkish, beige or tan)
* mascara (Suggestions… black if you have med/dark hair, or brown/black if you have light hair)
* eye shadows (your choice of colours)
* blush for cheeks (your choice of colours)
* lipsticks (your choice of colours)
Tools & Skin Care:
* make-up brushes (a variety of sizes)
* face moisturiser (your own preferred)
* skin cleanser wipes (your own preferred)
* cotton buds (a good supply!)
* tissues (a good supply also!)
* a small towel
* pen & note pad
* coloured pencils (any type)
*Mirrors, additional products and special corrective make-up will be supplied by tutor.
