Do you want to understand the principles of bookkeeping and BAS preparation? You may own your own business or be looking to learn or improve your skills in bookkeeping for employment or personal improvement. This course is designed so you will understand how bookkeeping works and will include basic terminology, accounts payable and receivable, basic payroll and superannuation, GST, cash book, bank reconciliations, fixed assets register, journals, general ledger, profit & loss, balance sheets and BAS. You will undertake a case study specifically tailored for training in which the participants will have the opportunity to see how the set of accounts are prepared and reported including BAS reporting. If you do not have any previous bookkeeping experience, this course is the minimum pre-requisite for enrolment in a subsequent XERO course. NB: this course is not for registration as BAS Agent. Certificate of Attendance issued.
Classes are organised into 4 terms each year, with speciality workshops running throughout the year.
