Our TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Nationally Recognised Training (NRT) qualification, meets the minimum educational requirements for trainers and assessors operating without supervision under applicable VET legislation, frameworks and/or standards. It reflects the roles of entry-level vocational education and training (VET) teachers, trainers and assessors who are delivering training services to vocational learners and assessment services to candidates.
The roles may be undertaken by those working in registered training organisations (RTOs), enterprises, community organisations, schools and other VET provision contexts.
The course duration is 18 months to complete the 12 pre-selected Units of Competency that best reflect industry and learner needs. The units are grouped into 5 clusters. Extensions to the 12-month course is available upon application.
The course is delivered in distance mode. Following enrolment you will be emailed the learning and assessment documents, within two business days. The documents will be in Microsoft Word or PDF format. You can commence the course at any time and progress at your own pace while adhering to assessment submission schedule for each cluster. While studying you have the support of our TAE Trainer/Assessor.
Entry Requirements
Those entering this qualification must be able to demonstrate vocational competence in their proposed training and assessing area. Vocational competence is defined as broad industry knowledge and experience, and may include, but not limited to, holding a relevant unit of competency or qualification.
You must be skilled in using and developing MS Word documents and internet skills to operate and communicate via email. You must also have effective language and literacy skills to read and understand the learning and assessment materials and to develop effective resources for your learners.
Assessment tasks
You are required to complete assessment tasks in each cluster and submit to the College for marking. The assessment tasks allow you to reflect and practice in your own real workplace or if that is not possible or practical, in a replicated or simulated workplace that reflects your own vocational area.

Q1. How many units are there in the TAE40122 qualification and what are they?
A1. The qualification requires twelve units from a total of twenty six. This consists of six core units and six elective units. We have pre-selected the six elective units based on current industry needs. We strongly suggest you go to training.gov.au and download the qualification document.

A4. The qualification is intended for learners that have access to a workplace. In the event you don‘t have access to your own workplace, a replicated work place can be used to practice delivering and assessing students.

A5. The course is delivered in distance mode. The resources are supplied in Word and PDF document formats, primarily designed for distance learning. The course has no face-to-face component.
Q6. When does the next course start?
A6. Because the course is delivered in distance mode, participants can start at any time and progress at their own pace.
Q7. What is the duration of the course?
A7. The course is typically completed in 12 months but this can vary depending on learner circumstances. Extensions upon request are approved or declined on a case-by-case basis.
Q8. Can I apply for an RPL if I think I already have the skills?
A8. Normal RPL policies apply to whole units only.
Q9. What marking criteria will my assessor apply when reviewing my work that I submit in my assessments?
A9. Your Assessor will mark your work that you submit in your assessment, will be completed using a marking checklist.
Q10. Do I have to submit video evidence of me delivering the sessions?
A10. This course is delivered via distance so video evidence is required. If this problem arises during your training, please raise the matter with your TAE Trainer and Assessor.
Q11. Must I use learning support materials and if so must I develop them myself?
A11. You must use at least one (1) learning support material. Not necessarily. You may use existing available materials if they are suitable for your purpose.

Our TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Nationally Recognised Training (NRT) qualification, meets the minimum educational requirements for trainers and assessors operating without supervision under applicable VET legislation, frameworks and/or standards. It reflects the roles of entry-level vocational education and training (VET) teachers, trainers and assessors who are delivering training services to vocational learners and assessment services to candidates.
The roles may be undertaken by those working in registered training organisations (RTOs), enterprises, community organisations, schools and other VET provision contexts.
