Agenda

Week 1: Take body measurements, layout of pattern and cut out garment, fit garment. Garment assembly, using pattern instruction sheet as guide
Week 2: Garment assembly, hems, individual guidance



Materials

Do not purchase equipment until you confirm that the course is running.


Bring your lunch, (tea/coffee available), sewing machine, pen, notebook, sewing kit (scissors, tape measure, pins, etc).

Please bring PATTERN and FABRIC pre washed to first session.

For first time sewers: choose a simple pattern such as a plain skirt, dress or top pattern using cotton type fabric or similar. Check fabric suggestions on back of pattern envelope - if a stretch fabric is called for it must be used. When choosing pattern size it should fit your bust and/or hip measurement.

The college has sewing machines for use if needed.

Art - Botanical Drawing for Beginners
