Knitting for Beginners
Come and learn basic knitting techniques and reading patterns that will enable you to create your own inspirations. Bring 4mm needles. Tutor will have starter kits, needles and 8 ply yarn available for a small fee. Bring along your problem projects and we will solve them for you. Learn Imperial or Continental style knitting - left-handers welcome. Please note that the cost of materials for this course is payable to the tutor during the course, in addition to the course fee paid to the College. Crochet - An Introduction
- This course is a basic introduction to crochet using a crochet hook and yarn. It will cover the basic stitches of "Chain", "Double Crochet' and "Treble". Left-handers welcome. See Material section for what to bring. No concession.Read on
Crochet - Beyond Beginners
- Having already mastered the skills of holding a hook and yarn, and introductory stitches, this course aims to build on these skills to develop the ability to read a pattern and complete a "granny square" or some other simple piece. Methods and techniques of increasing, decreasing and joining will be taught to form a shape or object. Left-handers welcome. Bring a 4mm crochet hook or equivalent, and some yarn and a pattern or project if you desire. A kit will be available. No concession.Read on
