For participants with basic to good English skills who wish to improve their comprehension, reading and writing skills. The course will also cover mathematical concepts to help you with everyday activities such as following directions and calculating costs. This course is conducted by distance with weekly telephone support from your tutor. You may take one or more terms to achieve a Statement of Attainment. Fee (GST free): Individual permanent residents and Agencies enrolling clients - please contact the College office as you/your client may be eligible for a free NSW Government subsidised place. If not, you will pay $120. Non-permanent residents - $160. No concession.

Materials

Have a dictionary, pen and paper ready for every session. Your tutor will contact you by phone between the advertised course times.
Since 1/1/15 anyone undertaking accredited training must have a USI (Unique Student Identifier). The College will require you to apply for one before it can issue any Qualifications or Statements of Attainment.

Go to www.usi.gov.au and apply for one now. It will only take 5-10 minutes - you just enter your personal details with one form of ID (e.g. Driver‘s licence, Medicare card, passport, etc). Alternatively you can give the College permission to apply for one for you.
