Enrol in this course if you require the unit CHCPRT025 Identify and report children and young people at risk and you have previously completed CHCPRT001 Identify and respond to children and young people at risk. To enrol contact the college to determine whether you are eligible for RPL.

In NSW providers have a legal requirement to ensure that the nominated supervisor of a service and any certified supervisor in day-to-day charge of a service has successfully completed a course in child protection that has been approved by NSW DEC. The only approved codes are now CHCPRT001,CHCPRT025 (now available) - all previous codes have been superseded.

If you have less than 25 employees in total, at your service, we can offer the new unit CHCPRT025 Identify and report children and young people at risk, as RPL at no cost.

This is funded under ACE program for Tech Savvy Small Businesses.

Agenda

1. Discussion about current child protection knowledge and understanding on reporting obligations.

2. Discussion on changes to reporting expectations and why this new unit exists and is non-equivalent to CHCPRT001.
