This transformative low-impact course blends the art of Tai Chi, Yoga, Pilates, and stretches, inviting you to nurture both, your mind and body. Experience remarkable benefits as you enhance your flexibility and core strength while reducing stress, allowing clarity and a profound sense of well-being to flourish. Under the expert guidance of Gaby Sahid, your professional fitness instructor, you will embark on this enriching journey.
Through weekly sessions, you will build strength and flexibility while alleviating back and joint pain with targeted stretches and poses, all within a serene and calming environment filled with soothing music.
Each session begins with grounding standing poses, flows into seated exercises, and culminates with mindful floor work on a mat or large towel, ending with a peaceful five-minute meditation. There will be no constant getting up and down during the classes. If you have a medical condition that may pose a risk in this course, we strongly recommend consulting your GP for guidance and possibly obtaining a medical certificate or letter. Additionally, if you have any medical conditions that should be communicated to the instructor, please reach out to the College Office to request a Pre-Course Questionnaire to be sent to you. Enrol in this course and Exercise - Gentle Exercise (for all ages) at the same time and receive a 10% discount on each course. No other discounts or concessions apply apart from a college birthday bonus if you currently hold one. Call the college to enrol in two together. No concession.

Agenda

We start each session with standing poses, then move to seated or all-fours positions, followed by lying down, and conclude with a five-minute mind, body & soul meditation. Participants remain in their positions throughout the session without the need to get up and down.

Materials

Participants are asked to bring their own yoga mat or a full length towel. The carpet in the space is quite soft. If you have a medical condition which may put you at risk in this course, we strongly advise that you seek advice and perhaps a Medical Certificate/Letter from your GP.

Venue

403 HUME HIGHWAY LIVERPOOL
The College office (Suite 5) and Training Rooms (Suite 8) are located at 403 Hume Highway, above Aussie Home Loans between Brinlay Paints and Little Kingdom Child Care Centre. For disabled access and those with mobility issues there is a Platform Stairlift provided contact the College office on 8080 2121 for more information.
Parking underneath the building is limited to evening and weekends with a maximum of 12 non-stacker spaces accessed via an unnamed lane off Boundary Road (behind Brinlay Paints). Unrestricted parking is available in Reilly Street, Alderson Avenue, Gill Avenue and Boundary Road west of Gill Avenue on the College (western) side of the Hume Highway and in Congressional Drive and the Collingwood Museum (including 3 disabled parking spaces) on the eastern side of the highway.
Public Transport (Go to transportnsw.info for more details). Buses connect from railway stations - the closest being Liverpool station.
Bus Routes: 851, 852, 855, 856, 857, 870, 871, 872. Going North: Bus stop on Hume Hwy (outside College - after Boundary Road). Going South: 2 Bus stops on Hume Hwy: 1. near Monteclair Avenue and 2. opposite Boundary Road.
